The records from RERO, an acronym of REseau ROmand, the Library Network of Western Switzerland, represent mainly French-, English- and German-language materials. OCLC will provide import capabilities for cooperative cataloging for the 215 RERO libraries along with increased visibility of the libraries’ collections on the Web. This is the third major addition of records for French-language materials to WorldCat in recent months. OCLC announced in June that the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) was adding 13.2 million records to WorldCat. In September, ABES (l’Agence Bibliographique de l’Enseignement Supérieur) signed an agreement to add 9 million records from Système Universitaire de documentation (Sudoc), the cataloguing system for French academic libraries managed by ABES, into WorldCat.

Article-level records for content in the JSTOR Archive are now indexed in WorldCat.org and delivered in WorldCat.org search results. Scholars and researchers will now be able to identify JSTOR resources through WorldCat.org and connect with the full-text content using the authorization provided by their library. JSTOR is a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive with more than 4.5 million records from 1,000+ academic journals and selected monographs. It includes archives of more than 1,000 leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. WorldCat.org indexing of JSTOR metadata helps researchers more easily identify resources in the collection. An authorization is required for access to full-text materials in JSTOR
